DESIGN

Luxury design with intelligence, bold choice of materials, award-winning and recognized in more than 40 countries. This is Riva, a Brazilian brand that has become a world reference in the design of high-end objects in 18/10 stainless steel, silver and 24K gold.

WELCOME TO THE RIVA WORLD

From São Paulo to Tóquio, from apartments in Copacabana to yachts in France and the best shops in Dubai: Riva brings luxury, art and the incomparable shine of its metals to the world. Contemporary, innovative objects with a Brazilian essence, with impeccable materials and designed through partnerships with new and established talents.

HISTORY

Founded in 1988 by Rio de Janeiro industrial designer Rubens Simões, Riva was born from a gift that was to be given to the founder's mother, a beautiful silver cutlery holder.

RUBENS SIMÕES

A visionary inspired by the concept of “less is more”. His passion for exquisite design and practicality led him to create a brand that stands out for its artistic excellence, taking the concept of luxury goods to a new level.

As a designer, Rubens is deeply involved in every aspect and stage of Riva’s production, ensuring quality, concept and creativity in every object. His meticulous attention to detail, combined with his extraordinary talent for design, results in works of art that transcend the ordinary.

FACTORY

Located in the southern part of Brazil, in the Serra Gaúcha region, Riva's workshops are where all of its objects are designed, manufactured and packaged. In addition to being a distribution center and head office, the Riva Studio, the brand's creative studio and laboratory, operates within the workshops. With social and environmental responsibility, many of the brand's objects are designed using sustainable waste.

MADE IN RIVA

Handmade. Quality is an obsession for the entire Riva team. From the choice of raw materials, to the meticulous care taken in the manufacture of objects, to packaging and customer service: Riva's culture is one that values unique, impeccable and durable objects. Combining modern industrial techniques with artisanal skills, Riva's workshops are proud of their tradition of delivering art and talent to each finished object.

RAW MATERIAL IMPECCABLE

The base raw material is 18/10 stainless steel. This number is the seal of quality for the objects and refers to the composition of the metal: 18% chromium and approximately 10% nickel. When oxygen combines with chromium, it forms a thin layer of chromium oxide on its surface, which gives stainless steel a high resistance to corrosion. Therefore, the better a piece is polished, the more its surface will be in contact with air and, consequently, the more resistant it will be to oxidation.

RIVA STUDIO

A creative studio coordinated by Andre Pezzi and Rubens Simões, it combines production knowledge with the sensitivity of high-quality design. Composed of a multidisciplinary group of design, engineering, marketing and production professionals, they work together to create pieces where conceptual aesthetics and the use of materials are essentially united.

Riva Design

SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability is intrinsic to the essence of Riva. Our raw material carries the “green” seal of environmental responsibility, coming from the production of 18/10 stainless steel in a plant powered by charcoal from 100% renewable forests, supplied by specialized partners.

The conscious choice to use a raw material produced in an ecologically correct, socially fair and economically viable way reflects Riva's unwavering commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment.

RIVA TOUCH

This is the polishing process developed by Riva to finish objects. This means that the work done by the polisher is individual for each object that comes into his hands, ensuring better shine and finish, in an exclusive hand polishing system made with special export-grade wool – the same wool used in international clothing. A special material that results in a truly incomparable shine.

GAINING THE WORLD

Riva is present in large and renowned decoration and design stores around the world. The objects can be found in more than 40 countries, including the United States, Canada, Portugal, Lebanon, Turkey, Japan, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. In addition, every year Riva presents its new products at major trade fairs in the segment, such as Ambiente The Show in Germany, considered the largest event in the sector, and at the Abup trade fair in São Paulo.
